Day One
We've all heard the myth... I should drink 8 glasses of water a day. By glass do they mean cup? And what will it benefit? I assume I would have a better overall health. So, I looked up what the "experts" say and even they don't know where the rule of thumb came from. But by glass they mean 8 ounces glass. 8 glasses of 8 ounces is ALOT of water to fit into the day. The interesting twist is this includes solid food and other beverages. What's my point? I want to drink water more consistently and live a healthier life. That's why I am challenging myself to drink a set amount over 100 days and documenting any changes. I expect to see a difference in energy and complexion. I also expect more trips to the bathroom. Hey people... that's just reality. My set amount? 4 glasses of 8 ounces. In my life, it's more realistic. The issue. I believe, isn't amount but consistency. My possible obstacles are life itself. Some days I just don't have time to think let alone watch how much water I drink. That sounds like an excuse to me. Also, laziness could be a huge issue. I could drop the ball and ignore the idea all together. I can come up with amazing ideas sometimes but the tough part is seeing them through and completion. So, I hope setting Wednesdays aside to chart progress will help me stay focused on the goal. Also, support is important. I told one other person about this plan but now I'm telling my readers. It's in Gods hands. Lets do da damn thing!
