3 simple steps

1) Do the next right thing
2) Find a mentor
3) Go fishing

Let us go back to the title. I used the word simple with intent. I did NOT say easy. I said simple. Meaning not elaborate or artificial; plain.

There are three steps I have analyzed to find success.

First- Do the next right thing. When I was 7 minutes late for work and worried about my boss's reaction and the negative effect I have had on my coworkers.... I chose to look back. Where did I not do the next right thing earlier in the same day which manifested in my result. When the alarm went off at 6am I pressed snooze. I could say I was half asleep and unaware but that is a lie. I was fully aware of where the snooze button is located and when I press it I know what that means.... more time to sleep.

Second- Find a mentor. See now that I'm working on my defects of character one at a time day by day, I am able to see myself clearly. My reflection sometimes reveals blemishes but underneath is a beautiful canvas. As I begin to clear out my junk... I see other people also. There are gifts from God everyday in the form of human beings. And there are many people out there that have overcome the very same battle I am struggling to win right now. So I choose to ask that person for help. Suggestions from someone who understands is priceless.

Third- Go fishing. I am now equipped with confidence and guidance. Now is the time to go out into the unknown world and make my way. I love how Will Smith put it on Tavis Smiley... "MAKE A DECISION AND DO IT!... IT'S THAT SIMPLE." There's that word again... Time to take action and do it fearlessly.

When I was born February 18, 1988, I was fully equipped with everything I need to manifest my purpose (Joel Osteen paraphrasing). I maintain my integrity. I choose to take action. I am perfectly me.

GET UP!
